Chronicle Visualizer is a privacy-first visual work-history library. It should make local Chronicle evidence browsable like a photo timeline while keeping raw captures private until redaction, review, and publication gates are explicit.

Scope

In scope:

Local/private preservation of Chronicle screen frames and written context.
Public-safe app and docs scaffolding.
Redacted derivative workflows for any future public timeline.

Out of scope for public source:

Raw screenshots, OCR sidecars, private memory archives, and unreviewed thumbnails.
Treating Chronicle frames as canonical project-state evidence without git/docs/artifact confirmation.

Users & Personas

Primary user: Maggie, reviewing personal work history across projects and tools.
Future public audience: people inspecting a curated, redacted visual record of project work without exposure to private source material.

Success Metrics

Raw Chronicle captures and written context are durably preserved before local rollover.
Public repo history remains free of raw private captures.
Every public visual derivative has redaction status and review evidence.
Timeline browsing remains fast and useful without turning OCR or inferred project labels into authoritative state.

Operating Principles

Raw Chronicle data is sensitive by default.
Private git is not the raw capture archive.
S3 raw archive objects are client-encrypted before upload.
Public visuals must be redacted derivatives, not raw screenshots.
OCR is noisy search metadata only.
Project labels are inferred unless confirmed by durable sources.
