Recover scattered Etsy research into a dated evidence workbook
A September 4 recovery task consolidated May 8–26 research into a 17-tab workbook. The useful result is traceable evidence: 1,011 reviewed listings, separate winner and benchmark cohorts, architecture metrics, planned concepts, and source/rights caveats. A historical review-count proxy can guide a test; it does not establish current sales, listing availability, artwork rights or launch readiness.
Workflow steps
- 1
Locate the original research tables and conversation artifacts; record collection dates, cohort definitions and whether an item is a specific listing or only a market snippet
Action
- 2
Consolidate listing identity, review counts, store metrics, title architecture, media observations and source URLs while keeping qualitative scans separate from the six-shop benchmark
Process
- 3
Verify workbook sheet count, non-header row counts, top-list membership, duplicate identities and strict-winner criteria; retain a checksum and schema inventory as evidence
Action
- 4
Operator reviews cohort/filter exceptions, mixed currencies, failed source-page access and proxy limitations before selecting any opportunity
Decision
- 5
Keep competitor inspiration separate from authorized artwork; inspect source provenance and rights for each proposed asset before production
Decision
- 6
Create a dated workbook and public-safe aggregate report with source index, historical-price labels, planned concepts and explicit unknowns
Action
- 7
Refresh the selected listing, demand signal, current price and source rights before a new commercial decision; research recommendations remain hypotheses until tested
